Privacy Policy for TimeTracker

Overview
TimeTracker is a simple time tracking application for Android. Your privacy is important to us, and we want you to know how TimeTracker handles your data.
Data Collection
To keep your hours in sync and calculate your progress, TimeTracker stores your data in Google Firebase. When you first open the app, you choose how to sign in:
Continue Without an Account
- Firebase creates an anonymous account with a random identifier
- No name, email address or other personal information is collected
- Your time tracking data is stored in Firebase under this anonymous identifier
- Signing out of an anonymous account permanently loses access to its data
Sign In With Google
- We access your Google account email and display name solely to identify your account and show it in the app
- Your time tracking data is stored in Firebase and linked to your Google account, so you can use it on multiple devices
- You can link an anonymous account to Google at any time to keep your existing data
In both cases we do not collect:
- Usage analytics
- Location data
- Device identifiers for tracking
- Any data for advertising purposes
TimeTracker contains no ads.
Data Storage
What We Store
- Time entries (start time, end time and type: work, sick or vacation)
- Your current tracking status
- Your daily work hour goals and application settings
- Progress totals calculated from your entries (daily, weekly and monthly hours and overtime)
- For Google accounts: your email address and display name
Where It Is Stored
- Your data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore, and progress totals are calculated by Firebase Cloud Functions
- Your data can only be read and changed by your own account
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Firebase
- A copy is cached on your device so the app works offline; changes sync when you’re back online

Data Control
You have control over your data:
- Delete your account: Use “Delete Account” on the Account screen to delete your account and your time entries. To make sure every piece of your data is removed, you can also contact us at the email below.
- Delete individual entries: Swipe an entry in History to delete it.
- Local data: Uninstalling the app or clearing its data in Android settings removes the copy cached on your device. This does not delete the data stored in Firebase.
- Google account access: You can revoke TimeTracker’s access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions
Children’s Privacy
TimeTracker is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
