Privacy Policy for TimeTracker

Overview

TimeTracker is a simple time tracking application for Android. Your privacy is important to us, and we want you to know how TimeTracker handles your data.

Data Collection

TimeTracker offers optional cloud sync functionality using Google Sign-In and Firebase Firestore. Here’s what you need to know:

Without Cloud Sync (Default)

• We do not collect personal information
• We do not collect usage analytics
• We do not use advertising
• All data stays locally on your device

With Cloud Sync (Optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google to enable cloud sync:

• Google Account Information: We access your Google account email and display name solely to identify your account and personalize your experience
• Time Tracking Data: Your time entries are stored in Firebase Firestore to enable sync across devices

We do not collect:

• Usage analytics
• Location data
• Device identifiers for tracking
• Any data for advertising purposes

Data Storage

Local Storage

All time tracking data is stored locally on your device, including:

• Time entries (start time, end time, duration)
• Your daily work hour goals
• Application preferences

Cloud Storage (Optional)

If you enable cloud sync by signing in with Google:

• Your time entries are stored in Google Firebase Firestore
• Data is associated with your Google account
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Firebase

Third-Party Services

TimeTracker uses the following third-party services only when you opt-in to cloud sync:

Google Sign-In

• Used for authentication
• Google Privacy Policy

Firebase Firestore

• Used for cloud data storage and sync
• Firebase Privacy Policy

The app works entirely offline without these services. Cloud sync is completely optional.

Data Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Local data: Uninstalling the app removes all local data. You can also clear app data through Android settings.
• Cloud data: You can sign out at any time to stop syncing. To delete your cloud data, contact us at the email below.
• Google account access: You can revoke TimeTracker’s access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions

Children’s Privacy

TimeTracker does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13. The optional cloud sync feature requires a Google account, which has its own age requirements.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
